We are having problems with be prompted twice to log into our server when the end user is using a computer with Office 2007. It only happens when the output is Excel format, which happens to be the number one choice. WF security is turned off and we use our server security. Has anyone experienced this same issue, and if so have you resolved it and how? Thanks...This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,

Your "computer with Office 2007" is also probably running Internet Explorer 8 which comes with its own "bag of hurt". Is it likely some security level in IE is causing the second prompt?

linus We are haveing a problem where we must logon to again when we run reports from Dev Studio. Is this similar to your problem? I have an active case open (number 62032532) with IBI. Let me know if this is a similar issue. Paul

The problem may well be Excel based. Whenever I try to get help in Excel, I have to authenticate twice in order to get online help. As far as I know, this doesn't happen in any other Office App. Curiouser and curiouser.
We had a similar issue, when the user got a prompt to save or open the excel file: when he chose to save the excel file he did not get any prompting, however when he chose to open the excel file within the browser he got the network user/pass prompting. What could affect this issue is the redierct setting in mime.wfs or via the WF client administration console. You could try to set redirect=No and/or save report=yes for .xls .xht (however this may result in opening the excel files in excel and not within the browser and may cause issues with drill downs, depends on your security). Yours Eran, SRL
Thanks for all the suggestions. There is a change in that if I run a report from our reports website and select excel for the format I now only get prompted once, but there are excel workbooks we ftp to the reports website that are accessible with a link these still prompt two times. I set the redirect to 'no', and the save report to 'yes' in the mime.wfs file. I tried lowering the security settings in IE 8. Our goal is to not get prompted at all once you have logged into the server. My gut feeling is it's tied to Excel because you don't get prompted for html.
Paul -- We get double prompted from DevStudio and from our reports website.
Thanks,
Linda
