Having an issue with downloading both lotus and some types of excel files. Missing more than half of the files at times. Sometimes we manage to get it all but you never know. Anyone else having this. we are running 7.6.6

First question, How many Rows?
Are you hitting the Excel row limits?

no not hitting the limit. On occasion we actually get the whole file.

If you haven't already, add a footer to your report
ON TABLE SUBFOOT
"END OF REPORT"

I had an issue a couple of years ago with a user in Hong Kong that thought he wasn't getting the entire report because the estimated file size was much larger than the report when he opened it or saved it.
