I am a Technical Recruiter and Kathleen & Kerry were nice enough to allow me to join this forum. I have 3 contract to hire openings in Atlanta. Can anyone make suggestions on where to network with experienced WebFOCUS folks who might be interested? 3 months contract to hire, rate has flexibility around $65/hr depending on experience; perm salary can go up to about $110K depending on my client's interest level, some relo may also be provided at permanent conversion, also depending on their interest in the candidate. No sponsorship available. Here is my contact information if anyone would like to pass it along. Thank you so much for reading this post. And there is the issue that I will NOT accept a contract - to - hire position. Being "semi" retired, I only take short term contract work (3 months MAX). The rest of the time I enjoy watching my grand children grow up :-)
I guess you could call me a "gun for hire" :-)

Do you know if there is a Local Atlanta WebFocus User Group? That would be a good place to find people. IBI headquarters in Atlanta could probably answer that.

I think that one of the main reasons is that a WebFOCUS programmer needs to be so multiskilled, they are become invaluable in many areas in the organisation.
FOCUS HTML Javascript Networking & Comms Excel OS (Windows/Unix/MF) Etc.
And I guess a lot have multiple languages under there belts.
Or, maybe there are some webfocus specialists available, only just not inthe States. I know of some that would love to switch employer but they can't work in the states...

$110K ?? If that's the going rate I deserve a BIG raise! And like Waz, I'm sort of multi-talented and have to be, since I'm the entire IT department in my small company....
Thanks for the comments, everyone. I did join a Webfocus group on Linkedin and so far it hasn't yielded a lot of interested candidates. I suppose many of your comments are true, WebFOCUS developers are very good, invaluable and happy where they are. If someone insisted on being a contractor and not going perm, I suppose my client would consider that. Thanks again!
