Do we need reporting server on every machine having database server.
I want to connect to a DB2 database server which is on a machine without webfocus reporting server. Can I connect it without installing reporting server over there.

What all do I need??????

No - you only need to have one reporting server as well as a DB2 data adapter.

My sugeestion is to start reading the Iway and WebFOCUS documentation or contact your local IBI rep for some formalized training.

It is not necessary to have a reporting server on the database server. However if you are in an environment where users write adhoc reports there is danger of pulling huge amounts of data across the network.

Best Advice is to contact you local branch because there could be a licenseing issue.
