Hi,

We are facing an issue with the size limit SQLOUT can hold. We are using version 764. How much is the maximum size TABLE FILE SQLOUT can hold?

Do you have any idea about the size allowed with 764 version?

Look for this in the documentation:

Creating Reports With WebFOCUS Language > Table Syntax Summary and Limits > TABLE Limits

This is for v7.7.05:


  • Number of verb objects referenced in a TABLE request: 1024 (495 for MATCH requests)
  • Number of columns of report output: 1024
  • Total length of all fields in the request or in a single Master File: 256K
  • Total number of sort fields (combined BY and ACROSS): 128

This is the result:
 (FOC336) THE SUM OF ALL FIELD LENGTHS EXCEEDS MAXIMUM.
 The sum of the lengths of all fields in a structure exceeds the
 limit.  The limit is 262,144 bytes. Reduce the number and
 size of the fields in the file, or eliminate JOINs and
 cross-references if possible.

This command ? 336 helped to find the size, it is 64k with 764 version.
