I'm not sure if this is doable but I have users that want to be able to select a report to be either PDF or Excel but at different levels of the drilldown. We have 4 levels. I know how to make the variable go through all the drilldown as PDF and 2 levels on Excel. But they really want to be able to switch back and forth at every level without getting prompt to select. My HTML page has all the selection on the side.
All help is greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,
Another option is to put a link on the report allowing the user to "Export to Excel" (or PDF). Then rerun the report in that format. I have one group of reports that we present in HTML complete with headers, subtotals, logo etc. If the user clicks Export to Excel we rerun the report with only column titles so they have a sortable report.

I did have it where it prompt the user to select which on on each report drilldown but thats not what they want. I'm looking into the Java format that j-gross suggested. I have never worked with Java so it's a bit challenging. I will update as soon as I have more information. But if anyone has any other suggestions please let me know. All help is greatly appreciated!!! Thanks again to all!!!
so the user gets to choose, at each stage, from the available formats. (That assumes a single drilldown report handles either output format, with &FMT indicating the selected format)
