[CLOSED] CWFSConnection::InitInstallOptionsMap()connection error: 401
I am trying to set up a new webFocus environment on a new machine, I am trying to just replicate another machine which is already set up, (and working fine) but I keep getting this error:
CWFSConnection::InitInstallOptionsMap()connection error: 401

any ideas?

Hi Ken,
Did you get past this error? If not, what exactly are you trying to setup and on which environment?

Any luck on resolving this issue? I have a user that is getting the same error message.

Have there been any developments on this? I'm getting the same error while trying to set up a new environment in Developer Studio. I'm on 7.6.5 and I'm duplicating the environments that already work on other machines.

I worked with IBI Tech Support and we found the issue that is causing this error. I was trying to install the Dev Studio client on a PC that was configured to not accept cookies in the IE browser. I had to add our internal and external domains to "Trusted Sites" under IE Tools >> Internet Options >> Security tab >> Trusted Sites. In our case it was *.companyname.com and *.companyname.corp.

I then went under the Privacy tab >> Sites button and added the same two domains *.companyname.com and *.companyname.corp and set them to always 'Allow' cookies from those domains.

With that setup I was then able to register Environments in Dev Studio and the error is no longer seen. Hope this helps.
