I am in the process of trying to report on an Outlook contact list.
In the process of trying to do this I was pointed to an article which details a process in which you can tie an Access Database into Exchange using a linked table.
I have been able to get this far, but while attempting to then create the synonyms within the Webconsole that point to the linked table within Access, I receive the following error:
(FOC1400) SQLCODE IS -1305 (HEX: FFFFFAE7) XOPEN: 42S02 : [S0002] [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] The Microsoft Jet data : base engine cannot find the input table or query 'Contacts_Test'. Make : sure it exists and that its name is spelled correctly. (FOC1405) SQL PREPARE ERROR.
My initial thoughts were that it was an access issue, so I ensured that the contact list was shared to my administrator account. I have even logged in as the administrator and have had no problems viewing the data residing in the linked table.
Has anyone else had this same issue? Is there a better way of linking into Exchange to report off of a contact list?
Thanks in advance for your help. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,
Gweller, Is it possible to do about the same thing using, for instance, excel to query your access table through the odbc conenctor? You will not have issues when going directly through access of course. But in this case you're going to access the database from outside access. And I think this is not a webfocus issue, hence the question if you can get to the database using odbc from some other program.

Your contact lists are typically stored in active directory. WF has an LDAP adaptor. It has been a while, but I have been able to report against AD to retrieve contact lists in the past using the LDAP adaptor. It can be a little tricky, but it is doable.
