Can I put a line chart type and a bar chart type on the same graph?

Yes, Look up the documentation.

I think there are examples in this forum as well.

Just to give you a little hint, create the graph as all bars. Then in the chart editor, change the series type to line for the one you want to be a line.

And Waz is correct. This question has been asked and answered a number of times on the forum.
