I was hoping to get some guidance on how I can retrieve Sharepoint list data.
I don't know if there is a specific adapter needed for Sharepoint, if there is, then we don't have it and we don't have budget currently to get one.
But, what I do know that we have is an MS Access adapater and an ODBC adapter. So what I did was created an Access table that is linked to the Sharepoint list. The linked table is working great within Access.
The problem is, I can't create metadata for it in Webfocus because when I try to create a synonym, I get the very generic "Could not find installable ISAM" error.
I also tried creating a view for that linked table in Access and creating a synonym for that view in the adapter. Still got the same error.
Does anybody have any idea why this is happening? Thanks!
This is a Microsoft error message, not webfocus. Apparently MS Access does have trouble gaining access to the lists when it is called from outside access.
