Hello. I've been struggling to figure out a pattern or how this is supposed to work, wondering if anyone had suggestions.
When i edit and update the portal, i'm not seeing the updates reflect right away. Sometimes it seems to take minutes, but sometimes it takes hours. On top of that, different browsers (chrome vs IE) are showing different content (IE currently showing old portal content, chrome showing updated portal content). And even in chrome, if i click run on the portal via explorer side pane, while in the portal itself, it shows the updated content, but if I instead just visit the portal URL, its still the old content.
I've tried following other suggestions, which is to right click and remove customizations for the portal, but these are not customized at all at the time of portal run. "Remove Customizations" doesn't seem to work for me either most of the time. I've tried deleting cache, cookies, etc.
Is there some sort of best practices for deploying portal pages and actually having them show up as expected?
Thanks. This message has been edited. Last edited by: <Emily McAllister>,
Francis is correct with removing the customizations. If you right click on customizations, remove it, and save, that should do it. However, if this still doesn't work for you please open up a case so we can have a technician do a quick remote session with you to see if there are any other issues. I already let Customer Support know that you may open a case on this so please reference the post as well.
Thanks, Kathleen Butler Information Builders
