Is it possible to have a map appear on a compound report?
I've got a map that shows locations of a few people in our data warehouse. It is used by several dashboards. The map is authored in HTML canvas, so its extension is htm.
On this page it says that compound reports "enables you to concatenate reports with styled formats (such as PDF, DHTML, PS, EXL2K, or EXL07)". Well htm is not mentioned there, so I'm thinking its not possible. So... um... how do I get a map into a compound report?
I've tried searching "compound" and "map", but all I get is stuff about heat maps.
Thank you! This message has been edited. Last edited by: FP Mod Chuck,
Ok, but I need to get this done in a compound report.
One solution would be to save the map as an image and then add the image in the compound report. But I'm not having success there. Still working on it...

Ya... thanks for the reply, but this approach won't help me, I don't think. That would mean I have to completely redo the map. Too much work was put into it.
Essentially I need to find a way to get the contents of an htm file (a file created in html canvass) into a compound report. And that htm has a map.
The htm file is just a driver for displaying that map. The underlying map code should be able to be re-used. If the map code is embedded in the htm file you should be able to cut and paste it into a .fex file and reference it in the document.

I was expecting to see a reference to a .fex file but it does not exist. I'm sorry but I have no idea how your map code is being generated. Hopefully someone else can debug this issue. If not you should open a case with techsupport
