Maybe lack of response is because the question isn't very clear. Your typing comma spearated invoice numbers into what? a file? a launch form? And then is it supposed to compare against something else like all values in a table? Can you give us an example of what you're trying to do to help clarify your question?

Darin

test box - What? Is this a machine, a field, a text area, a .... metadata column - you mean a field in a database table I guess? Find out which numbers do not exist - in the database as compared to the entry, or the other way around?
If you type in the numbers in a html field that will get transported to webfocus as 1 &var, and if you want to find out which typed numbers are not in the database, you could do the following (rough steps): 1. build a repeat loop that will do a gettok for the next number 2. if no more number then exit the repeatloop, otherwise write the number to an intermediate file. 3. write a master file for the intermediate file with the numbers 4. do a MATCH FILE for the intermediate file and the database field, and do a AFTER MATCH HOLD OLD 5. Lastly, filter the hold file for records that have no value for the database field.
Hope this helps...
