How to copy a masterfile(foc) the correct way? or reusing and changing a masterfile in one same procedure.
Hello,
I do have *.fex procedure where I use various sources and steps to manipulate fieldlenghts and formats.
Id like then to copy a once created result from a TABLE FILE(.foc & .mas) so that, it can be used the next time the procedure runs. I dont know it there is a neat way to do it. I gave it a try with dos commands. Unfortunaltey my copied master is pointing still to its original source.
-* Delete old stuff !DEL /Q &myOldFOCFile !DEL /Q &myOldMasterFile
-* create an identical new version of the data !MOVE /Y &myOrgtoCopystrFOC !MOVE /Y &myOrgtoCopystrMAS
I doubt that this the best way to proceed and change the .mas with a batchfile or other methods. Is there a possibility to solve this with std. WebFocus commands.... and I dont mean another TABLE FILE :-)
TIA MarcusThis message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,
