I am processing an IMS database and reporting on 3 fields. Two are on the parent segment and one on the child. When the child segment is not present, my report does not print the fields from the parent. I have tried to SET the ALL switch to ON, (Selects handling of missing segment instances in reports) and get the same results. Any suggestions.

I haven't worked with IMS hierarchical databases in a very long while, I would have assumed that SET ALL=ON would work. If you're screening on a field in the child segment, try SET ALL=PASS.
SET ALL = {ON|OFF|PASS}
where:
ON
Includes missing segment instances in a report when fields in the segment are not screened by WHERE or IF criteria in the request. The missing field values are denoted by the NODATA character, set with the NODATA parameter (see NODATA).
OFF
Omits missing segment instances from a report. OFF is the default value.
PASS
Includes missing segment instances in a report, regardless of WHERE or IF criteria in the request. This option is not supported when MULTIPATH = COMPOUND (see MULTIPATH).

Can confirm what Fran says - have used IMS adapter and ALL setting works fine. If ALL=PASS does not work, can you post your query please for us to be of further assistance.
