i have 3 radio buttons that produce different links below them according to the criteria assigned to each. I am having an issue with javascripts onchange feature. When one of the radio buttons is selected it should refresh the page with the corresponding criteria assigned to that radio button and keep the radio button checked rather then defaulting back to the first radio button. Unfortunately it is not, the function i have created is shown below. When you click any radio button it then defaults to the first radio button.
function chgBUS() { document.tocform.IBIF_ex.value="JBTOC3"; action="/cgi-bin/ibi_cgi/ibiweb.exe"; document.tocform.target="_self"; document.tocform.submit(); }
the link then performs the following: onchange="chgBUS(this.form);"
any help would be great

The issue is that you are calling the form as a new call which will cause the defaults to be selected again. If the radio button is to remain on the same form, you will need add to the body onload some JavaScript code that will take the value of the radio button and set the new value after the page has loaded.
You may want to consider having an iframe for the form to load into, and have the radio button on the main part of the page. This way, you are only loading content into the iframe and the radio buttons would be separate from the reload process.
