WebFOCUS Developer Studio 8.0.08 crashes when using GUI HTML Composer to edit parameter screens with chained controls. Is it because we have Internet Explorer 11?

When it doesn't crash, there is some odd behaviour: the 'Properties' window flickers, and the 'Properties and Settings' window refuses to display.

When the HTML page is run from Dev Studio, the chained controls do not populate. When run from B.I. Portal, the chained controls do populate.

I am following up with your question about supported browsers.

Web Browser Support for WebFOCUS Releases 8.0.10 - 8.0.01

Scroll down to your version of WebFOCUS and it indicates that IE 10 is the support version.

Can you re-try your HTML with IE 10 by any chance?


Also, related to your other HTML comments, what is your version of Dev Studio and gen# ?

Release, Gen, Maintenance, HotFix Availability Information

The above link indicates the latest versions and hotfixes within your release.

for Dev Studio. Do you have any " hot fixes" applied at your company?

Tamra, thanks for your info.

We use IE 11. In our non-development environments, it's set to compatibility mode, which means it runs as IE 9. In our development environment, compatibility mode is not set.

Meanwhile, either through hand-coding, or through the GUI, the HTML pages have the following tag:
<META content=IE=edge http-equiv=X-UA-Compatible>
. If this is set to "edge" via hand-coding, it might be because it was required to have jQuery work properly. I have to investigate further.
