In even a simple AR:
TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT COUNTRY SALES SEATS RCOST DCOST LENGTH
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT AHTML
END

when you try and sort (ascending or descending) on the length field, the sort breaks, giving a badly sorted list. Anyone encountered this before?

Something to do with length maybe. Multiply length by 10 and it's okay. Real example is I8
and when sorted ascending becomes:
  3
  4
  6
  7
  5
 51
 52
 54
101
102
104
105
103
151
201
202
203
218
251
252
301
306
307
302
305
351
352
353
356
357
354
401

This is on 7.6.4.

We have 762. Using your example, all columns sort properly except for lenth where the list is jumbled as you have described.

Interesting. This does not seem to be a problem on 7.1.6. All sorts are handled properly.

Alan,

Can you open a case on this, please? Looks like it is broken in 7.6.
