Hello,
I have a Launch page in which there are 4 dropdown boxes.some of the values in the dropdown are 50 characters in length.
I am restricted to use only 116px for the width of the dropdown.Now,when a user tries to select a value from the dropdown ,it is difficult for him to understand the options.
Can somebody suggest me an alternative.
Is there a way where when we click the dropdown it expands and shows all the options completely.

This is an HTML question, not a WebFOCUS one. This would happen if you're using WebFOCUS or not - either make the drop-down box wider or use a smaller font. Visit a few sites on the web - I don't think you'll find any that do tricks with the width of a drop-down box when the contents are to long to display.

Swetha,
I would suggest to go for combo box, instead of drop down. You have to place the combo box control within div or span element.
1. Use the height & width property of SPAN or DIV element to control the dimension.
2. Don't limit height & width for the combo box. Without specifying the height & width, combo box will expand based on the max length of the string.
Use onclick or onselect event to control the visibility of the scrollbars for SPAN element.
