In focus I am trying to edit the Master file discriptions. I want to add discriptions to certain fields. The problem is my row length is to short in the editor. I want to keep them on the same line. How do I change the row settings in the editor. I am using TSO.
In TSO you are stuck to 80 characters unless the area you have your MFD's is set up in a member whose members are 128. MFD's can be continued to a second line as it is the '$' that ends the actual master line. An example from one our old mainframe days: FIELD=AA605_AAAP ,ALIAS=ACAD_PGM_SEQ_NUM ,I6 ,I2 , TITLE='Pgm,Seq' ,$

You can put a separate line starting with a $ ( effectively a comment line in a .mas file) after each field definition. That would make it easier to read.
