Hi
I need to read 2 files(CSV or excel files) in webfocus.Compare data row by row between the 2 files. then print the matching data alone.

I need to know how to start for this objective.
1. I need to know how to read data from external files
2.I need to have data from both the files
3.Comapre them based on key columns
4.print the datas that mactches between 2 files based on key columns

Use MATCH FILE processing with OLD-OR-NEW results.

If you don't know MATCH then you should be able to see a manual in the Tech Documentation link above.

Here is an outline to get you started. You should read up on each topic in the documentation,

1. Write a master file for each csv file of type COM. You may need to put a $ at the end of every line, or use SET PCOMMA=ON.
2. Either read up on MATCH file syntax (easiest)or hold one or both tables as Format FOCUS with an index on combined key columns and then JOIN them together.
3. The MATCH file will have BYs on the key columns. AFTER MATCH HOLD OLD-AND-NEW. Or if JOIN, inner join on the combined key fields.
4. Print the hold file from the match, or from the join.
