User is passing values for a variable in the format below : ADD DASF','ADD DASF Core','ADD DASF SSO
I need to convert it to the format: ADD DASF;ADD DASF Core;ADD DASF SSO (Any delimiter is fine)
Basically I want to replace ',' with ; . Assuming that the format is some thing like this ADD DASF;ADD DASF Core;ADD DASF SSO I am able to fetch the individual values (ADD DASF , ADD DASF Core , ADD DASF SSO) based on the delimiter using the functions POSIT and SUBSTR and pass it on to my query. But I am struck at the first step of replacing "','" with ";". I tried strrep also. But it din't work out for me. Please let me know how I can accomplish this conversion.This message has been edited. STRREP would be correct. However the single quotes cause an issue, so use 2 or 3 single quotes depending what you are trying to achieve. 2 for SETting a field, 3 in STRREP:
44- decimal equivalent of , 59- decimal equivalent of ;
To find decimal equivalent of any character in windows use CHARMAP from RUN prompt and use CALC to convert hex to decimal.This message has been edited. Last edited by: Ram Prasad E,
