Trying to create text file output to get sent to the Report Caster Library via a scheduled fex.
We use Caster for EXCEL and PDF with no problem. I've tried various combos of HOLD, SAVE with different formats (ALPHA, WP, etc.)FILEDEFing doesn't seem to help.
Always get the messages:
SET DISTRIBUTE=OFF Task finished. No report to distribute.
Any ideas?

I would create a 2 step process as report caster can also distribute file also. In job 1 create the file the way you want it to look and save it where report caster can see it. in job 2 have it pick up and distribute the file or load it into the library.

Thanks, Tex. I did get your suggestion to work. Still getting the alert re: No Report To Distribute, which drives my admin nuts. As we're on 7.6.2, we cannot set this notification to be 'not an error' by schedule.
