I have a 4 reports (one for each type of output - HTML, PDF, Active Report, Excel) that are requiring a column heading that consists of words separated by commas as well as shown on two different lines. The column heading would look something like:
Apple, Banana, Kiwi, Orange Sample Fruits
I am able to accomplish this for HTML and Active Report output types. I cannot find a technique to work for PDF or Excel outputs. I have tried using a define name and by creating a parameter but these are not working. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,

The only way I can think of making this work is to use a Heading line as your Column-titles:
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
SALES/D6 AS ''
BY COUNTRY AS ''
HEADING
"WEBFOCUS REPORT"
" "
"COUNTRY <+0>APPLES,ORANGES"
ON TABLE SET PAGE NOLEAD
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
SQUEEZE=ON, FONT='ARIAL', SIZE=8, $
TYPE=HEADING, STYLE=BOLD, $
-*-- FOR PDF ---
TYPE=HEADING, LINE=3, ITEM=1, POSITION=COUNTRY, $
TYPE=HEADING, LINE=3, ITEM=2, POSITION=SALES, $
-*-- FOR HTML AND EXCEL ---
TYPE=HEADING, HEADALIGN=BODY, $
ENDSTYLE
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT PDF
END
Seems a bit over the top, just to get a comma in a column title.

Give me code, or give me retirement. In FOCUS since 1991

Francis is correct, I created &XTITLE concatonating my words with the ASCII number for commas and spaces. This works for both HTML as well as Active Report output types.
