susannahtransparent gifs in pdf report, how do i do it?
I've made xparent gifs... no prob. works fine in html. but in pdf, the backgrounds are white, no matter what I do.
Any artists out there with ideas? I used lunapic.com to make my gifs.

Francis MarianiReading some stuff here:
Prepressure: Transparency in PDF files... "Adobe Reader 9 - Edit > Preferences > Page Display category > activate ‘Show transparency grid’."
Also, according to the article, transparency in PDF isn't simple.
I would try a different format - png
or jpeg ...

<Emily McAllister>This definitely sounds like a PDF issue; I don't think there's anything you can do to the FOCUS code to affect the transparency. I know from personal experience with web design that transparency can be a huge pain! Unfortunately I don't have much experience with designing PDFs so I don't have an easy solution for you.
I'd try looking around Adobe's website. There might be some tips there.
