Hello,

Can anyone help me find an answer when I run an Excel Pivot table and there's no data, so I don't get the error below?

(FOC3277) EXL2K: PIVOT TABLES CANNOT GENERATE EMPTY REPORTS
(FOC3298) ERROR FOUND IN A COMPOUND REPORT

I would set EMPTYREPORTS = ON and put my data into a hold file before displaying the report. Then I would check how many lines of output I had. If I didn't have any output, then I would change to EXL2K instead of a pivot table. Something like this.

SET EMPTYREPORT = ON
TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT RETAIL_COST
BY COUNTRY
BY CAR
BY MODEL
WHERE COUNTRY EQ 'ERIC'
ON TABLE HOLD AS CARHOLD
END
-RUN
-SET MYLINES = &LINES;
-SET &WFFMT = IF &LINES EQ 0 THEN 'EXL2K' ELSE 'EXL2K PIVOT';  
TABLE FILE CARHOLD
PRINT RETAIL_COST
BY COUNTRY

END
