[CLOSED] Strange Dev Studio issue
Hi-

I've had a couple of my users ask about a strange issue they are having with Developer Studio 7.7.05. I'm not having the same issue, so I thought I would ask here. When they make changes to code in Developer Studio, then save their changes and run the code, the output they are getting is from the "old" code, and not the updated code. They then have to go in and save the code again, and then run it again to get the correct output. Has anyone seen this behavior before? If so, can you tell me why this happens and how to correct it?

thanks in advance-
Leanne Wood

Have you watched the behavior? Can they duplicate it? That is very strange and would suggest opening a case, but they are going to want proof and it done in the CAR file. Smiler

My initial thoughts would be browser caching, but I am under the impression that DS handles that.

I have seen this when I was at a client site that was using Zero Footprint. I had to clear cache by going to an IE window, select tools, then internet options and delete your browsing history. We were in 7.7.03.

Yes, this is typically the browser. There are two things you can do:

1. IE->tools->internet options-> in the general tab check "Delete browsing history on exit". Also click on settings under browsing history and make sure the radio button is set to "Every time I visit the webpage".

2. In Dev Studio click on window->options-> check "Use new browser to execute" under the Other Settings group box.

You won't have any more problems after this...
