Took six weeks off to recharge my batteries.

Hope all is well here on the forum.

I spent 9 days in France (mostly in Paris) and had a great time. I blogged about my time here (mainly photographs): Francis in Paris.

Hope to get back into the groove ASAP.

Cheers,

Francis

Bienvenue Francis!

It was good to finally get to see you in one of the pictures, though Erika and Azia stole most of the attention Music

Good to see you back and in action, Francis! I thoroughly enjoyed your pics of Paris. There were lots of beautiful and interesting pictures there. Loved the captions too.

What kind of camera and software were you using for these? You mentioned Hipstamatic too? Isn't that only for smartphones? Thanks for sharing your trip with us.

Now get back to work! Wink

Francis,

Indeed welcome back. Like other members here I have to say that you photo's are grandiose!!!

I like photograghy myself but with my Nikon D90 I'm not able(yet) to produce pictures like that.
Terrific compositions, nice colors, etc...

Nice, nice, nice. I just love it.

Norb, Dirk,

Thanks for the wonderful comments regarding my photography. I wasn't sure they'd be interesting because there are no famous monuments or buildings in them. I've been to Paris many times, so this time I just wanted to record the every-day stuff, which, to me is very interesting. Psychogeography and flânerie keep me going!

I used a Nikon D90 and one lens, a Sigma 17-70 (I usually travel with a big bag of equipment). And I used Hipstamatic, a camera app on my iPhone 4. I brought a MacBook Pro with me and I use Aperture to manage and edit my photos. Lots of fun.

Francis.

After all of that I can now understand your frustration with the HTML Composer Big Grin

Seriously, it's very good to have you back in town and at Focal Point sharing wonderful tips as usual.
