When using JSFUSION in Active Reports, is there a way to make it so that the line chart stops showing the line value of zero when there isn't any data for it. For example I am showing a sales chart for the last 3 years. The 3rd year is not finished yet. Instead of the line stopping at August. It shows a straight line at the bottom of the chart (0) for September to December.

I'm not sure about that. Usually if you want any control over your graph you are going to want to use the advanced graph assistant. If that meets your needs then if if you go to chart editor >> Chart >> Data labels, there is an option to show zero values which you will want to set to no.

If you must use active reports, then I would control the data that is populating the graph. Hold and filter the data before hand and the graph off of that hold (pseudo code):

TABLE FILE SALES
...
WHERE DATE is in last three years;
WHERE SALES aren't missing;
ON TABLE HOLD
END
-RUN

GRAPH FILE HOLD
...

Note this last solution will completely exclude those unfinished dates while the first solution will keep the dates but not the missing data.

Your are correct that the advanced graph does not try to display anything when there isn't any data. I have used that in the past. I was hoping to use active reports because they overall look cooler. The second solution did not work for me. Thanks for trying.

When you say it doesn't work, what part of it fails?

If you just print out the first table file:

TABLE FILE SALES
...
WHERE DATE is in last three years;
WHERE SALES aren't missing;
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT HTML
END

Are the missing values still showing?
