I am having an issue with drop down display values and chaining that I need some help with. I’m still learning the html composer, so any help is appreciated.

We use an html page as a filter page for the user to enter values they want to filter a report by. The button on the page returns the user to their report. The user has the ability to return to the filter page to modify their filter criteria as they wish. When they return to the filter page, their previously selected values are displayed.

I will use the CAR file for my example:

The COUNTRY drop down is chained to the CAR drop down. If they change the COUNTRY then the CAR dropdown changes to display the CARS for that COUNTRY. However, if they previously selected a CAR for a different COUNTRY then that CAR is still displayed in the CAR drop down list. Why doesn’t the chaining refresh the CAR list and also remove the previously selected CAR? Is there some setting I need to set to resolve this?

Previously selected England as the COUNTRY with Jaguar as the CAR. If they then choose Japan as the COUNTRY then the CAR list shows Datsun and Toyota but the Jaguar is still displayed in the list.

Thanks for any help with this...

I modified my design so I am no longer returning to the HTML page, instead I am staying on the same HTML page. So I no longer have this problem.

Thanks!
