From the Configuring WebFOCUS Startup Parameters manual:

MRUSERLOG - Determines whether a log file of user actions is created and, if so, how frequently:

  • Off - does not create a log file.
  • Daily basis - creates a log file on a daily basis.
  • Hourly basis - creates a log file on an hourly basis.

By default the MR User Log files are created in the install_drive: ibi/client_directory/wfc/web/cgi directory, where client_directory is the name of the directory in which the iWay Client is installed. A location can be specified by the TRACE_LOCATION variable.

The manual does not state what is logged. Has anyone used this parameter?

Thanks,

Francis.

Francis

I have not used it so far (although I am right at the point of turning it on for a couple users.) My understanding is that is a log of all requests executed by an MR user. Apparently it shows methods used (CGI/Servlet) and information about which procedures are run and when. Probably not much more than you already knew, but that was what was explained to me a while back by a tech support guy at Summit.

Darin

I was hoping it would keep track of when programs are created or deleted from MRE.
