Running the report server on the AS400. Is there a way to create a DB2 file and place it in a specific library? Only thing I can get from the GUI is TEMP FILE option and application path folders.

Hi Wayne,

Yes, need to move to the library you want to store the data; use the following syntax:

At the top of the fex:

!CHGCURLIB LibraryName
-RUN

then, after the extract, when you hold the data:

ON TABLE HOLD AS tablename FORMAT DB2

The caveat: the LIBRAY used in the CHGCURLIB command must be journaled.
