Hi, I am trying to see the generated SQL statement from my procedure. Is there any way to see that? I searched on it and found it could be achieved if i insert following code in my procedure. SET XRETRIEVAL=OFF SET TRACEUSER=ON SET TRACEOFF=ALL SET TRACEON=STMTRACE//CLIENT SET TRACEON=SQLAGGR//CLIENT But still i am not able to get the sql. Can somebody guide me how to do this?
Thanks Daniel, Its working fine when i have a single procedure. But i have some procedures included in the current procedure and if html form is there, the html output is displayed not the sql query.
What you also can do is to specify a filename to hold the trace output, like: SET TRACEUSER=c:\temp\tracefile.trc in stead of SET TRACEUSER=ON Be sure to have the extension of the filename set to .trc, otherwise it will not write to the file.
Hope this also helps a bit...

I am interested in your suggestion of saving the SQL trace in a file, but I can't get it to work.
These SQL trace commands create an empty trace file but display the SQL trace in the web browser window:
SET TRACEON=SQLTRANS
SET TRACEON=STMTRACE//CLIENT
SET TRACEON=SQLAGGR//CLIENT
SET TRACESTAMP=OFF
SET TRACEWRAP=78
SET TRACEUSER = D:\ibi\apps\testfm\tracefile.trc
-RUN

Give me code, or give me retirement. In FOCUS since 1991
Production: WF 7.7.05M, Dev Studio, BID, MRE, WebSphere, DB2 / Test: WF 8.1.05M, App Studio, BI Portal, Report Caster, jQuery, HighCharts, Apache Tomcat, MS SQL Server
Is there a way to capture the trace output into an amper variable? I would like to use it to write to an error/log file along with some other stuff. If not, I can always just -READ it back from the file using your suggestion.
Thank you,
