Hi,
We have a WebFocus report that users can obtain by clicking on a URL that we give them. However, how can we restrict it such that even if anyone in the organization can get hold of that URL they cannot see the report?
First they login to one of our apps using a jsp page like this: https://intra.dev.apps.rus.mto.gov.on.ca/edt/login/login.jsp
Then we give them a URL in Dev that looks like this: https://intra.dev.mis.apps.rus.mto.gov.on.ca/ibi_apps/W...101&TO_DATE=20080731

How can we restrict their access? Use Web Server authenticate/authorize? Use MR Realm driver to authenticate/authorize? Configure the site.wfs to override global variables?

Thanks.

Adrian,

I would not keep the report as an HTML file but as a HOLD file such that by running a WF report you could produce it very quickly. Then you could secure accessing the report based on MRE or a Self-Service App which would be secured by UID and PWD.
