Hi All,

We are currently using WebFocus 8.0.03. We have created several reports in HTML composer and added those reports to a Portal created through BIP.

We added a schedule button to our reports through HTML composer. When we click on the Schedule button, Report Caster window opens up with several tabs.

Our client wants that to be simplified. Like what we have in the Single page Report Caster scheduler.

How do I replace the default scheduler with Single Page scheduler.

Any inputs would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Santhosh

Licensing WebFOCUS RESTful Web Services might be a solution.

Efrem,

Let me check whether we have license for Restful web services and get back to you. If we have then could you please explain me how we can achieve the desired functionality.

Thanks,
Santhosh

Efrem,

I checked my License page from Administration Console. There I don't see RESTful Web services as an option at all. I see an option called Web Services and in the option has been checked. I mean I see a green tick mark for that.

Can you help me.

Thanks,
Santhosh

Santhosh,
You should acquire a PDF of the WebFOCUS RESTful Web Services Developers Guide.
In that guide, it goes through all of the REST calls that can be used to integrate with WebFOCUS and ReportCaster.
It includes examples.

It will show you how to construct an HTTP POST request to create a schedule.
The schedule definition is passed in XML which is included in the BODY of the POST request.
