On Windows XP PCs, I recently installed Dev Studio 7.7.03. When I boot the WinXP PC, I receive an error message about FDS Application Error and referecing memory could not be "read"
I have WebFocus7703 service set up with the Log On user name/password being the same that I use to start my PC. The service starts.
WebFocus and my application seem to work.
What is causing the FDS error when I boot my PC?This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,

We're seeing something similar on Windows 2008-64; fds.exe is reported to have crashed by Windows. If we run it from a cmd prompt, we see:
03/28/2012 16:12:14.612 errmes: "error in HLIABN: failed to open acceptor for subsystem 'IBIS ', code 0
"
Is this what you're getting too? What does that error message mean?!? Neither me nor Google have ever heard of HLIABN...This message has been edited. Last edited by: Wep5622,

Apparently it has to do with long APPPATH settings. Unfortunately the description doesn't mention how long... This particular problem was fixed in 7.7.04 according to the above, but there doesn't seem to be a hotfix for us poor 7.7.03 users?!?
I tried shortening our APPATH to the bare minimum (still ~350 chars long), but that's apparently still too much.
Funny, I just got off the phone with a WF support tech for a problem in our 7.6 environment, who claimed that 7.7 was much more stable than 7.6 was.
