Just curious if anyone could help me finding info about these topics:

1. How to print contents of a database (Oracle) table?
2. How to program a compound report?
3. Any info about “table of contents” in a compound report?
4. What would be the best numbering convention in a compound report?

I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Michael,

For number 1 it would depend on whether you have a synonym created for the Oracle table (Master File Description + .acx file), or if you are using SQL passthru, but the basic syntax is;

TABLE FILE
PRINT *
ON TABLE SET ONLINE-FMT
END

I use PDF for printing, but many ouput choices are available...so replace with PDF.

Let me know if you need the SQL passthru example.

Hope this helps,

Kevin

Sorry about delay in posting my reply. I want to thank Kevin for his suggestion. It does seem to work just fine in most cases (as far as question # 1 goes). Thanks again.
