All,

Working in 7.1.1
What I need to do is execute 4 reports, or create 4 recordsets and spit the out to a excel worksheet. Each recordset will go into a predefined excel range. I've created an excel template with the needed ranges. Everything works fine for the first ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT EXL2K TEMPLATE 'ExcelTemplate' SHEETNUMBER 2 but all subsequent On Table pcholds fail without an error.
Has anyone done this???
If there is a better approach please share..

is there something about COMPOUND OPEN and then COMPOUND CLOSE?
i'm not up to this version yet, but i seem to remember this sort of syntax from Brian Carter's swell award winning presentation at summit the other day.

Used
SET COMPOUND=NOBREAK

Its no longer erroring but the second
SET COMPOUND=CLOSE
Didn't help. The second report is still not populating the worksheet. Its like the data gets lost in limbo.
