I am using webfocus 773 and use the below report.

i am getting the Internal Server Error if I use the below code.

But If i use the below query,i am getting the o/p in excel.

Please help me to fix this issue.

For Excel Worksheet size 65,536 rows by 256 columns.

once check below link.

Its better to check the number of lines while printing in the sheet. If the number of rows are more than 65,536 then change the sheet but i dont know exactly how to change the sheet....

Create a new sheet like this:

DEFINE FILE XXXX
  ROWNUM/I8=LAST ROWNUM+1;
  SHEETNUM/I4=ROWNUM/65537;
END
TABLE FILE XXX
PRINT *
   BY SHEETNUM NOPRINT
   ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT EXL?? BYTOC
END

The BYTOC creates a new sheet when the Primary Sort Field Changes

Thanks for your replay. Webfocus 77 support Excel 2007 and I think it can hold more than 65,536 rows.

My concern is that if I am running report with huge data, I am getting the error.

EXL07 output is only fully supported with WF server version 7704 and higher ... There was some talk of making a hotfix back to 7703 but I don't know if that happened.

One solution is: we need to override the EXCELSERVURL to blank value. this would redirect the URL to JSCOM3 listener and execute much faster.
