Can a scheduled task be set up to trigger subsequent tasks concurrently? Currently, I have a single job that runs prior to 10 concurrent extracts.

When they run successfully via overnight scheduling, everything is fine, but if something fails, I have to manually run the first job, wait for it to finish, then manually submit the 10 extract jobs one by one.

Is there a way that I could do this just by submitting the first job manually, to act more like a CA7 schedule, and to add to the elegance, could I also trigger a task that would not start running until those 10 concurrent tasks are completed?

Hi InsideTGT,

Has this issue been resolved?

There is an article on our Focus on Developers may be of interest:

How to Automatically Delay ReportCaster Jobs: Sometimes data loads take longer than planned. Jodye Yates explains how to delay report distribution in 10-minute increments.

Is this what you are trying to do?

Hope this helps.

Cheers, Smiler

Kerry

Thanks, Kerry. I didn't get any other replies, so this may be the way to go. I'll print off the article and run with it.
