Missing? Or Null? or What?

The output in my Webbrowser is divided into a table with borders around each value of the variables. However, there is one or two variables whose values are not there. I don't mean they are missing or null or blank string. I mean that there is no border or anything. Just an empty space. Most of them look like this:
A B C
___________
1|__|___|____|
2|__|___|____|
3|__|___|____|

However, mine looks like this:
A B C
_________
1|___|__|__|
2|_________|
3|___|__|__|


With nothing for B2. No border or anything! I need to know how to identify this empty space. I've tried MISSING and ' ' and '' in my program, but nothing works.

Try printing the ASCII value of it, maybe it's a control character and causing the output to go skew-whiff?

Ok, well when I look at the arglen function of those variables, all of those funny ones have a length of 25 even though there is nothing in them. I took this to mean 25 blank spaces, but I still couldn't get it right. Any thoughts?
