I have read all of the discussion on a please wait solution, and I have this solved for a report that displays in a iframe. I would like to be able to submit to a new WFServlet window and have this same functionality. I have yet to come up with a way to do this in a Dashboard. Most of our HTML launch pages are too large to support an iframe display. One thought was to create a small iframe that was not visible, then resize it using javascript to almost the size of the entire window display the wait message then the report would display in it, with a button to "close" (or resize back to the invisible size). Not sure exaxtly how to accomplish this. Any help would be appreciated. A mew window would be ideal but I'm up for suggestions.

Hi l-moore,

I passed this one internally and was told that this does not seem to be possible. To do further investigation, please open a case with Information Builders' Customer Support Services for assistance. To open a case, you may either call at 1-800-736-6130, or access online at InfoResponse.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Kerry

l-moore ,

The problem with opening a new window is that your might not be able to communicate effectively or reference the window from the original. Try using modal windows from within HTML. Once you understand the method it really is quite easy to achieve and a lot of what you have already learnt from the other discussions should benefit you.
