I have a report that has costs and averages in each row, and a total at the bottom of the report. The total for the costs works for me, but it also totals the averages, which I don't want. I would like to average the total costs.

So, if I have two total costs, 25 and 75, I don't what the total average to be 200% and 600%. I would like it to be 25% and 75%.

Is there a way to do this either in the total or outside the total (subfooting)?

Thank you in advance!

Jeff,

Define a COMPUTEd value, then RECOMPUTE.

For example:

TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT
DEALER_COST
RETAIL_COST
COMPUTE MARKUP_PCT/D7.2% = (RETAIL_COST - DEALER_COST) / DEALER_COST * 100;

ON TABLE RECOMPUTE
END

Is this what you're looking for?

Sean
