Hi,
I have to track run time and date of a file, and keep updating that focus hold file after every time the file has run.
I have already tracked the run time and date of the file. But I am not able to update focus file.
Can someone help me with this along with an example?

From the info given, you need to use MODIFY.

There a many example in the forum, and in the documentation.

A little extra info would also help in assisting you, like the master file for your FOCUS file, and what you are updating.

Hi,
I have to update a focus file! Smiler
I already got help on it!
This is how the code goes-

MODIFY FILE file1
FIXFORM FROM file2
MATCH column_name
ON MATCH UPDATE column1 column2 column3......
ON NOMATCH REJECT
DATA ON file2
END

where
file2-a hold file
file1-focus file which u want to update
Make sure the number of columns and their respective formats is same in both the files.

Thanks,
Prajakta
