[Solved] Is there a way to implement data source security with GUI settings?

Hello, everyone. I'm new to this forum.

I need to implement data source(row/column level) security. I did a search on manual and found that I could implement it using Access and Restrict attribute.

My question is whether I can implement it with GUI settings, in other words, without editing a code on Master file, etc.

Thanks,
Matt.

Matt,

The synonym editor has a section for DBA security. You can use that to edit your row/column level security.

I find it easier to do it by hand. But you can do it that way if you prefer.

Doug

When in the synonym editor under the metadata ribbon bar there is a link to do DBA. Once you click it it displays in the lower right hand corner.

Thank you for using Focal Point!
