I would like to specify a certain field in a SUBHEAD to not have grid lines while all of the other fields do. I have tried the following:

ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT HTML
ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON
...
TYPE=REPORT, GRID=ON, $
TYPE=SUBHEAD, LINE=5, OBJECT=TEXT, ITEM=2, JUSTIFY=CENTER, GRID=OFF, $

All other fields in line 5 would be in grid format. Is it possible to assign grid formatting at the item level or can it only be set at the report level? It's either all or nothing for me.

Grids can only be applied at report not component level.

The same is true for borders although there are plans to change this.

However from a logical point of view truning off the grid or border of a single cell make no sense.

Either the grids/borders of ajoining cells will still be present or Bottom,Top,Left,Right missing.

"Grids can only be applied at report not component level." True, for now. IB is working on the ability to format ITEMs within HEADING, SUBHEADING, etc... Cool There are curcumstances that require this as we have seen at Ford Credit (BO to WebFOCUS Conversion / with matching formatting)...
