We have noticed that our launch pages don't maintain the same layout when viewed under Firefox versus Internet Explorer (e.g. overlapping fieldsets, etc). We would like to support our reporting applications for IE, Firefox and Safarie. I would like to validate our choices with this community. Option 1) We tell our customers, you must use Internet Explorer. Option 2) We abandon using the composer for the purposes of layout and use conditional code to make adjustments or abandon table based layout altogether and layout with div sections and CSS.

Is this a fair assesment of our choices? Are we missing something?

Your input greatly appreciated. Tom Hawbaker.

depends on what you're doing
Firefox 3 on a PC is different from Firefox on a mac.
a dasbhboard view renders fine in firefox 3 on a pc, but on a mac, the style sheet governing the background image on the rightmost part of the header frame NEEDS Height controls added to it, b/c it squishes the image and all you see is logon/views etc. So you need to hand edit every one of those css files.
IE7 and IE8 are different enough!
IE7 a long dropdown list starts at the source box, in IE8 a long dropdown list pops up as its own entity top of screen...there's gotta be a switch somewhere. Anyone know?

In Firefox3 the ajax-controlling chained dropdown boxes works just fine on a PC.. i just don't know about mac, tho.
