Have two fields in a data source where word/string "null" is stored as a text/string value as part of a SQL compare process. Word "null" appears in report display, but expecting a blank or empty field there. Is there an easy way to replace a string value with another string value "NULL" to NULL within WF?

Thanks!

Use a COMPUTE or DEFINE to change the "null" string to blank.

Sorry. I should have closed this earlier. Right after I posted I remembered how to do it. Sometimes it is the easy things we forget.
I was trying to make it way too complex. Smiler

I used an 'if...then' within a define. Thanks for the response.

If you really need a NULL value instead of blanks, use MISSING ON:

FIELD2/A10 MISSING ON=IF FIELD1 EQ 'NULL' THEN MISSING ELSE FIELD1;
