Hi All,

I have to update the mail server name for all of our scheduled jobs. Does anyone know of a mass update option, or do I have to do them 1 by 1?

I think the mailhost column in the BOTSCHED table is the value you should go after. A quick SQL update statement should do the trick.

hmm, i think you just do this in the report caster console, a single place.
I remember doing this when we moved exchange servers, and i remember it as no biggie, and when it was done, i core-dumped my brain, like after finals.

So if you do it in the console then it will change the mail server name for all your jobs automatically ?!?! That sounds sweet.

Hi All,

Well on average it takes about 2 minutes to perform each update, it is just time consuming as you have to change each job in turn..

Guess some things have to be done the "hard" way.

Did you try updating BOTSCHED using SQL UPDATE?

Have you looked at the "Tools" section of the ReportCaster console? If you login to the console (http://server.company.com/rcaster/main/reportcaster.jsp) and click on "Console" then click on "Tools". Here you have the ability to do mass updates. Mail Server being one of the updateable fields. I cannot say I have done this myself. But it looks straight forward enough.
