How to keep Filter on table active even after a join!

I have predefined few filters on my tables.
Table1 has a FILTER1 and
Table2- FILTER2 etc..

Based on the need in my indvidual reports I use join between these tables.
However after joining the two tables, only the filter on the first table is active and the second one is not working any more(After join the joined tables are single entity, referenced with the First table involved in the join, I believe that is the reason why the other filter is not active on this join any more).

What I would like is my filters to work as I have defined(inlcuding in join cases). Hope there is a way!

v, you could redefine your 2nd filter so that it applies to table#1;
after a JOIN, the table being read by your fex is the host, or TABLE1;
so the elements of the guest, or TABLE2, are now considered to be parts of TABLE1.
